Ministries &
Opportunities To Serve

We believe that everyone that God calls to Himself, He also calls to serve. That means that every ministry of the church is an opportunity to participate in at least two ways. As an example, the Worship Ministry serves to help lead the church to worship God. Those who attend worship services, benefit from that ministry. Those who serve on the Worship team minister to the Lord and the rest of the church body. Many who serve in a one way or another began by benefitting from the service of others, prior to finding their place.

Bible Study

We have Bible study classes, Sunday School, for all ages. Sunday School begins each week at 9:45. Prior to that, there is an informal time of greeting and visiting around the tables, with coffee, donuts, juice, etc.

Worship

Sunday morning Worship begins at 10:50. We usually say it begins at 10:50ish; there is a relaxed, family feel to our worship services. After all, worship is a family affair. The Worship Team leads in music of various styles and eras, from the traditional hymns, to some of the newest praise and worship songs of the day. The aim is to help people of all ages to have an authentic encounter with God. The Pastor shares from the Word of God in what he has referred to as a “conversational style,” which, to him, means in part that he may ask a question and it’s ok for you to answer.

Age-group Ministries

Young people are important to Jones Creek Baptist Church. Youth Ministry includes dedicated worship and teaching times, as well as opportunities for growth and enrichment at events such as camps, retreats, and mission trips. Children’s activities include choir, mission activities, as well as worship. Young-at-heart people are also very important. Our senior adult group, Go-Getters, meets monthly for a chance to visit and enjoy lunch together.

Men’s and Women’s Ministries

We believe that older men and women have a very important role to play to help young men and women to grow. There are many times for that to happen through formal and informal times of fellowship and learning including special Bible studies, fellowship meals. Church-wide workdays are great opportunities for service, growth and fellowship.
